Winter is here in Atlanta, and I find I enjoy the indoors more if I focus on improving my art techniques. Today, I am painting this new orchid, Ophelia. I teach acrylic/watercolor/mixed media classes and workshops in the Atlanta area. Call or email me for more information: Jill Morris/770-656-7246/morrisartscool@gmail.com.

In class, we focus on the FUN, RELAXING process of painting in the moment, while learning about the elements and principles of design.

Painting Orchids

Painting Orchids, Orchids, Orchids...even if it is SNOWING in ATLANTA....xxoo

It snowed this week on my son, BenMinis' birthday, March 1,2010, but that didn't stop my art students from coming to class on March 2....we had a fun day painting orchids...orchids are my latest pasion...have you REALLY looked at an orchid? If not, put on Pandora.com, new age, nature sounds, and look deep into the orchid...it has a persons's face in there...you will be mesmerized...painting takes you into the right side of your brain where endorphins are released...it is like a drug...love this peaceful, relaxing state...if you don't paint, you should try it...check out morrisartscool.ning.com for class times...in April, 2o10, we will be painting at the Starry Night Houseboat on Lake Lanier, in the Atlanta area, and this summer at the LeLu Coffee House in Sarasota, Florida....make time in your schedule for art......Enjoy EVERYDAY life!! xxoo

Art Classes at Bald Ridge Marina, Lake Lanier, GA

Hi Friends!! I am so excited....someone just called me to sign up for art lessons and found me by googling art lessons!! This is exciting because I needed two more students to make the art class so now I have one....just need one more art student!! Are you thinking about art lessons?

I started drawing and painting 25 years ago, and painting is the BEST hobby!! Watercolor is my fav medium, but I also enjoy acrylic....I like to add mediums to it so that it looks like oil painting...or thin it so it looks like watercolor...check out our group at morrisartscool.ning.com or www.JillMorrisArt.com....
